The couch that ate 2 people

Yes, that's right. My new loveseat tried to eat Darren and I the other night. It has a fold out bed, which we carefully folded out. We laid down, 30 seconds later, the back of the sofa came right up off the floor, and tried to "fold us into" the hole left by the bed. yep. funny. We did figure out what we did wrong, but we had all these visions of the Ashland Fire Department, called by a neighbor because our bodies have been stuck in the bed for 4 days, and we're dead now. When the Fire Dept. opens the door, they'll find 4 feet sticking out of the sofa, and a couple of dog legs, too. Cause Roxie and Ghost were laying down with us.. It'll be really humiliating, but we won't care, cause we're both dead.

Went for a long bike ride yesterday with a bunch of people who were supporting the veterans out of Medway. The day was gorgeous, and I actually got to be a blocker!! For the first time!!! That was really cool. And, today, I rode to the hospital for my mammogram, which was entirely negative!!! YEAH!!! Then I took the long way home.. Beautiful day for a bike ride...

Anyway, life is good at the moment....

Hi Linda

What is a LOFESEAT?

Very glad that you and Darren and the dogs survived!!

I assume that a "blocker" is one that blocks traffic while the bikers go thru.

Nice looking loveseat.

Have a great week.

One could say that "lofeseat" is correct, just act really confident that it's right. Like "duct tape." If one says, "Duck tape" everybody turns into a linguist and mocks you mercilessly. But in reality, "duck tape" is correct, a name given by the US Navy back 70 or so years ago. It was called that because it resisted water. But today, people have forgotten that and most people are wrong.

So while "lofeseat" isn't correct, dammit, we'll ACT like it's correct. Maybe 70 years from now, at furniture stores all over the English speaking world, people will get "corrected" for saying, "loveseat."

Something like that.
